Our Return Policy

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with all tags attached
  • Items must be in their original packaging
  • A proof of purchase must be provided

Note: For hygiene reasons, swimwear (Men Swim Shorts, Men Swimwear) and underwear cannot be returned unless faulty. All other items from our collections (including denim, shirts, pants, and tops) are eligible for returns.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Follow these simple steps to process your return or exchange:

  1. Contact our customer service team within 15 days of receiving your order by emailing [email protected] with your order number and details about the product you’d like to return or exchange.
  2. Complete the return request form (template provided below) and include it with your return package.
  3. Package your return securely using the original packaging if possible.
  4. Ship your return to our warehouse at:

Copy and paste the following template into your email when requesting a return:

Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected (typically within 3-5 business days of arrival at our warehouse), we will process your refund or exchange. You will receive an email notification once this is complete.

Refund Timelines:

  • Credit card payments: 5-10 business days after processing
  • PayPal payments: 3-5 business days after processing

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. If you paid with a gift card, the refund will be issued as store credit.

Exchange Process

For exchanges, we will ship your new item once we receive and process your return. Shipping charges for the new item will be waived if the exchange is due to our error (wrong item shipped or defective product).

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong or defective item). We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage/defect. We will arrange for a free return and replacement or refund.

International Returns

For international returns (outside Australia), please indicate “RETURNED GOODS” on the customs form to avoid additional charges. Essential Men Wear is not responsible for any customs fees incurred during the return process.
